Sounds weird, I know… but hear me out…
We all have an image of ourselves in our brain, that pops up at certain times throughout the day and at certain moments. This image, especially when you are struggling with your mental health, tends to be skewed and negatively warped. It isn’t reality. We want to get to a point where we have a positive, beneficial image of ourselves in our brains.
The first to do this, is to look yourself in the mirror.

This exercise will bring self-acceptance, love, and confidence if done on a regular basis:
Step 1: Look yourself in the mirror, and lock eyes with yourself
Step 2: Breathe, and let the mind think whatever it wants… meditate while looking at yourself
Step 3: Start loving yourself, like you would your best friend, partner, or mother. Feel the love bubble up from inside your heart, and pour it out through your eyes as you look at yourself.
Step 4: Give yourself credit, you’ve come so far. You’ve faced many battles. You are strong, and deserve the world. Tell yourself that. Love yourself.
Step 5: Be in this feeling of love for as long as you want (at least 5 minutes though)
Step 6: Start looking around and accepting any “flaws” you may see.. these are not flaws, everything is as it is. But just start loving each one of them. This is you. And you deserve love.
Step 7: After all of this, look yourself back in the eyes, and say, “I love you. Today is going to be a great day. And I love myself unconditionally.

Self love is everything guys. It’s so important. It’s easy to fall into criticizing yourself, but just remember that you are one in 8 billion…. unique beyond nature. Love yourself for that. And live your best life, the best you can. 🙂
